Nippy Bus

Nippy Bus has established itself as South Somerset’s demand responsive transport specialists, committed to bringing safe, clean, cost effective and flexible travel to passengers in South Somerset.

Since September 2004 Nippy Bus has been running a combination of demand responsive services as well as standard routes throughout South Somerset. Using Yeovil as a hub, Nippy Bus enables passengers to travel in and out of the town from early morning till late at night.

Starting with the Nippy Night Bus, and later introducing the Nippylink daytime services, customer care, reliability and the utilisation of modern technology has been key to our success to date and is instrumental to future expansion of our services.

Our modern fleet of vehicles are comprehensively equipped and include wheel chair lifts, constant running CCTV recording, digital radio communications and satellite navigation. On-board micro computers run sophisticated booking ...

and route management software written and developed in house by our technology partners Mark One Consultants of Yeovil, ensuring you arrive at your destination safe and on time.

Booking lines are open from 08:30 to 17:00 Mon-Sat. Lines are closed Sundays and Bank Holidays except Good Friday.

Important Information!

Passengers requiring wheelchair access must pre book all journeys as we need to remove seats to accommodate your chair.

In the interest of health, safety and comfort of our customers and staff; smoking, eating and drinking is prohibited on Nippy Bus. Continuous CCTV recording is in place. Your acceptance of these conditions are pre-requisite to travel on Nippy Bus.
