How to use N6

The N6 Nippylink is a flexible demand responsive bus service which links Martock and Ilminster with the rural Parishes and communities listed on the service map.

Passengers can travel from any Village shown within the shaded area of the service map to either Martock or Ilminster simply by phoning the booking line on 01935 823888. The N6 service seamlessly connects with the N9 Yeovil Service and the N10 Taunton Service, giving passengers numerous travel options throughout the day.

For Example:

Mrs White wishes to travel from Kingsbury in to Taunton. She phones the booking line on 01935 823888 and books her journey. The Nippylink bus then collects her at the agreed pickup point at the arranged time and travels on into Martock to transfer on to the N10 service.

Returning on the N10 she tells the driver she wishes to return to Kingsbury and transfers back to the N6 upon arrival in Martock to go back to Kinsbury Episcopi. If she wished to she could use this same method to travel into Ilminster by exiting the vehicle as it travels through or to go in to Yeovil on the N9.

Each and every timetable journey connects seamlessly with the N9 Martock to Yeovil as well as the N10 Martock to Taunton services providing access to regular journeys in and out of both Yeovil and Taunton from any point within the shaded geographical area of the service map. Through tickets from or to the N6 area of service locations are available.

For Example:

Mr Davies, from East Lambrook, wants to travel into Yeovil using both the N6 and N9 services. All he needs to do is phone the information line on (01935) 823888 and inform the controller of his destination, a pickup time will be agreed and the N6 Nippylink will pick him up and connect with the N9 service in Martock.

Returning from Yeovil all Mr Davies needs to do is catch the N9 service from the bus station and inform the driver he wishes to go back to East Lambrook and the N9 will then seamlessly connect with the N6 getting Mr Davies back home.

The next day Mr Davies wishes to travel to Taunton. Following the same steps as before but informs Nippybus that he wishes to travel to Taunton.

The Nippylink N6 consists of two free roaming minibuses with an arrival/departure in Martock or Ilminster. A bus arrives in Martock to connect with Service N9 for onwards travel to Yeovil or Service N10 for onwards travel to Taunton. The second bus meets the Service N10 in Ilminster to provide shorter travel time between villages and Taunton.

Martock Inbound Pre booking required from any point within the shaded Martock DRT area to travel to Martock. Transfer to N9 for onward travel to Yeovil. Journeys marked with (*) can be used to transfer to N10 for onward travel to Taunton, these are also the inbound journeys that can be booked from Long Sutton.
