How to use N1
The N1 service is designed to bring people in from the area
shown in the service map. There are three inbound journeys (see timetable for details
of service route), before each of these journeys the N1 Nippybus will travel
anywhere within the grey area of service if passengers have pre-booked to come
into Yeovil.
Once the Nippybus has picked up all the passengers in its
area of service it returns to Yeovil and starts its service route. To catch the
N1 service within Yeovil simply wait at any bus stop or convenient and safe
place along the N1 route and hail the Nippybus as it approaches (see timetable
for route timing). On the scheduled service route you do not need to book –
just hail and ride!
For Example:
Mr Smith wishes to travel into Yeovil from Martock, he phones the booking line (01935) 823888 and pre-books for the N1 service before 5:30pm. Since it is his first time traveling into Yeovil, he registers on our system. Once registered he decides which of the three inbound...
... journeys he wishes to use , and a pickup time is agreed to (+/- 6 minutes). The Nippybus goes out to the agreed pickup point and collects Mr Smith, returning to Bluebell road to begin its service run. Mr Smith can then decide where on the service run he wishes to exit the vehicle or wait until the Nippybus terminates in the Borough.
For out going journeys in the N1 area of service, wait
somewhere on the service route & hail. Once the Nippybus has finished its
service route it will travel out anywhere within its area of service, depending
on where the passengers onboard wish to go. The outbound area of service also covers South Petherton.
For Example:
Mr Smith wants to catch the Nippybus back home, all he needs to do is turn up at the Borough for one of the outgoing journeys (2305, 0005, etc) and tell the driver he wants to go back to Martock.
Please note, tickets are sold based on the timetabled start for each journey, not when the ticket is issued.
